Gateway First Bank
Hey there! It's your favorite funny gal (or guy, I don't judge), back again with some seriously hilarious content for you all. Today, I wanted to talk about the Oklahoma Council On Economic Education. Yeah, yeah, I know, it sounds like a total snoozefest. But trust me, it's actually pretty interesting. And don't worry, I'll try to make it as funny as possible.
First off, can we just talk about that logo for a second? It looks like a fancy bank or something, but it's really just a council that teaches people about money. But hey, if looking like a big shot bank helps them do their job better, who am I to judge?
Anyway, the OCEE's mission is to provide Oklahoma students with the tools they need to be financially literate. And let's be real, most of us could use a little help in that department. They offer all kinds of resources and programs to help kids (and adults too!) learn about things like banking, credit, investments, and more.
I mean, let's face it. A lot of us probably learned about money the hard way - by making mistakes and figuring things out as we went along. But the OCEE wants to make sure that Oklahoma students have a much better foundation than we did. And you know what they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Or something like that.
If you're thinking "well, that's great and all, but I'm not a student, so why should I care?" - don't worry, the OCEE has you covered too. They offer all kinds of resources for adults, like their "Smart About Money" workshop series. And you know what's even better? A lot of their resources are totally free. Who doesn't love free stuff?
Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking. "But where do I go if I want to check this out?" Good news, my friends - the OCEE has several offices throughout the state. Here's the address for their headquarters:
2200 N. Classen Blvd., Suite 225 Oklahoma City, OK 73106So there you have it, folks. The Oklahoma Council On Economic Education. It may not be the most exciting topic in the world, but it's definitely an important one. And hey, if all else fails, at least their logo is pretty cool.
